The ISC Rope Wrench is used to create a ‘bend’ in the rope, above the climber’s hitch. With the addition of a stiff tether, the STRW created a ‘contained double rope system’, on a single line of rope. This contained double rope system travels with the climber as they move around the tree, allowing a consistent level of friction on the hitch, which is impossible to achieve in double rope climbing.

All the components are part of the latest generation of Kong blockers. Excellent ability to block out particularly on muddy and icy ropes thanks to the holes on the cam and on the side plate. The new material and a special chemical and thermal process give to the cam, in addition to black color, a much higher surface hardness. The result is a great wear resistance and a reduction of the fragility that usually penalizes steels by quenching to low temperatures.
